What you need to know. If you are upgrading your motherboard and processor, there is currently a changeover in progress in the way your hard drive connects. The older IDE is being phased out by the new SATA. This results in smaller cables and better air flow through the system. If your system has the IDE connections only. You can still use your existing hard drive, but you can only use one CD rom with the new motherboards. If you wish you can switch out for a new SATA Drive and still use more than one rom drive. If your computer only has one CD rom drive, this won't effect you.
